Mr. Burnett (Mr. B)
Hi Mustangs! Think of me as one of the people on campus you can come to when life gets complicated.
I help students with things like stress, friendships, family stuff, big emotions, confidence, decision-making, school problems, and figuring out what to do when you’re not exactly sure what to do. I also work with parents, teachers, and community resources to make sure students have the support they need.
I’m part counselor, part problem-solver, part resource-finder, and occasionally the person reminding you that one bad day does not equal a bad life.
Most importantly, my office is a place where students can talk, reset, figure things out, and hopefully leave feeling a little better than when they walked in.
As a School Mental Health Professional, I’m here to help students navigate the stuff that doesn’t always show up on a report card: stress, friendships, emotions, confidence, family changes, problem-solving, and those days when everything just feels like a lot.
I work with students individually and in groups, partner with families and staff, connect families with helpful resources, and help make school feel like a safe, supportive place to learn and grow. Sometimes that means counseling, sometimes it means helping solve a problem, and sometimes it simply means just listening.
My goal is pretty simple: help students feel heard, supported, and ready to handle whatever middle school throws at them. And middle school throws a lot.
Stop by Room 801 - let's figure it out together!
