The representative organization for educators in Bay District Schools.
What is ABCE?
ABCE is the local teachers’ union representing educators in Bay County. We advocate for members’ rights, protect working conditions, negotiate contracts, provide support when issues arise, and work to strengthen public education.
Our purpose is:
To serve as the leader in protecting the significance of public education in Bay County.
To establish and maintain high standards in the performance of professional services.
To improve educational opportunities for the children and adults of Bay County and the State of Florida.
To fulfill the legitimate aspirations and needs of members in order to strengthen the institution of public education by advocating for its members and seeking to strengthen and improve the institutions within which they work in a variety of ways, including the preservation of collective bargaining.
Who can be a member of ABCE?
Membership is open to instructional personnel under contract with the Bay County School District who are covered by the collective bargaining agreement and hold a valid educator certificate. Membership is inclusive and nondiscriminatory.
