Practical Woodworking

In Practical Woodworking you will learn how to use hand and machine tools to create quality products out of the versatile material of wood. You will do this by learning how to read working drawings, and how to hone your skills to produce work that is neat and accurate. You will also learn woodworking theory about materials, tools, machines, processes and safety.

The course is split into 3 main topics:

Your practical work will be assessed and used to give your overall grade, and if you are studying National 5 you will also sit an exam which contributes to your overall grade.
