At Oldmachar Academy, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
At Oldmachar Academy:
All young people feel included and have a sense of belonging
Differences are valued and celebrated
We are committed to creating a caring, inclusive and respectful environment where every pupil feels known, valued and supported. Our approach is built on strong relationships, a nurturing ethos, and a shared responsibility across all staff to promote mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing.
Through initiatives like Crew, targeted support from Pupil Support staff, and a curriculum that embeds Health & Wellbeing across all subjects, we help young people develop resilience, confidence and the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond. Our wellbeing strategy is dynamic and responsive, shaped by pupil voice and community feedback, and aligned with national frameworks such as GIRFEC.
Our full wellbeing strategy can be found along with all our other policies and procedures.
