OUR HOUSE CAPTAINS
OUR HOUSE CAPTAINS
At Middleton Park School our children are part of one of our four Houses:
Coldwell, Crawford, Melrose or Mills.
At the start of each new school session the Primary 7 children will decide if they would like to be a House Captain and, if they want to be chosen, they can then canvass their House for votes in a whole school election. Each House will have 2 House Captains that are responsible for supporting their Houses throughout the session by leading them at Sports Day, raising any issues relevant to their House brought to them and taking part in House Captain meetings - as well as asking their Houses for their ideas and opinions and sharing information about events in school with them.
The House Captains election process went well this year and the Primary 7 candidates did a fantastic job.
Here is the link to our House Captains Google Site with more information on what they do within school and how they became elected:

*New house links will be shared once we have out new house captains and their sites have been made.
Our House System underpins the Positive Behaviour Policy at Middleton Park School and is used to reward the positive attitude and sustained effort shown by learners in school and outside of school.
Children are assigned to one of our four Houses when they start at Middleton Park School; the Houses are their colours are Coldwell House - Blue, Crawford House - Green, Melrose House - Red and Mills House - Yellow. Brothers and sisters will be put into the same house.
Primary 7 House Captains encourage their House to earn House points by showing positive behaviour, manners and work ethic, to help others and to be positive role models to others in school. The House Captains total the points each week and announce them at our regular “Get Together”.
Each term the winning House with the most House points gets to choose their reward. At the end of the year the House with the most points will win the House Trophy.
