Lochside Academy opened to young people on 23rd August 2018.
Our 14,450m2 campus merged the existing Torry Academy & Kincorth Academy following extensive engagement with both communities.
We have since been on a significant improvement journey which you can read about here.

We engaged stakeholders across our school community during the academic session 2021-22 to revisit and refresh our Vision and Values.

Our overarching vision of “ASPIRE: We Will Succeed” illustrates our aim that all stakeholders in our learning community aspire to be the best we can be and it is only by working together that everyone will be successful.
By living our vision and values every day, we aim to inspire a culture of continuous improvement across our school community.

Associated school group (ASG)
The ASG is made up of Lochside Academy and our six associated primary schools: Abbotswell, Charleston, Greyhope, Kirkhill, Loirston and Tullos.
During academic session 2022-23 we agreed a shared vision and aims to work collaboratively over the coming years to improve outcomes for young people.
Our collective vision is 'Improving Together': ambitious in literacy & numeracy, supporting health & wellbeing & aspiring to reach positive destinations for all.
