Angela Grainger - Connecting School and Home

The Family Learning service is a free service across the city which offers up-to-date information and advice about all services for children, young people and their families in Aberdeen.

At Heathryburn, I am here to support parents with a variety of things from filling out forms, to help with applications, to support with getting a food parcel . If you are unsure of anything just ask and I will do our best to help.

I have been developing the Community Garden with pupils and parent's and over the coming year we are hoping to get a lot more people involved while we develop our food growing , orchard and wild garden.

Last year we opened the community café which was a great place to catch up with friends, meet new people and free cycle a variety of goods. There was also an opportunity to buy Cfine produce. We Hope to be able to offer some of this again in the coming months .

I am available for 1-1 support for parents who would like to discuss any problems which they may have eg routines, sleep patterns etc. and I can meet with parents out with the school to support this.
