Support for all
When additional support is required for a child, they can be referred for Support for Learning. We have a dedicated Support for Learning teacher who works alongside SLT and our support team to deliver a wide range of interventions designed to support learners who are below track. Our interventions are based on data and assessment and planned for in small groups across the week. These plans (Group Intervention Plans/GIPs) are shared with families termly so there is a shared understanding between home and school. Sometimes, support is delivered by a Pupil Support Assistant (PSA) rather than the SfL teacher. Our support staff receive support and training from the SfL teacher and SLT in order to provide this. All interventions are planned for using a variety of formats and impact is measured through the use of pre and post assessments, please see below for a quick guide on some of the interventions we run at Glashieburn.
