The S2 Mathematics course builds upon the learning experiences and knowledge gained in S1. It enables pupils to develop the skills and competencies required for progression to Mathematics and Applications of Mathematics in the senior phase. The knowledge and understanding gained in S1 will be consolidated and extended within known topics while new topics will be introduced. Skills in mental agility, numeracy, problem solving and working with others will continue to be developed all of which contribute to pupils' ability to think mathematically.
Topics covered include:
Number work : Whole number, decimal and integers
Fractions, Decimals and Percentages
2D and 3D Shapes
