Aberdeen City Libraries Are Open

The following libraries are now open for limited browsing and borrowing, and computer access

Central Library, Airyhall Library, Bridge of Don Library, Cove Library, Culter Library, Dyce Library, Mastrick Library and Tillydrone Library.

The opening hours are 10am - 1pm (Monday - Saturday) and 2pm - 5pm (Monday - Friday), except Culter Library which is open 10am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm (Monday - Thursday).

Woodside Library is open 10am - 1pm (Monday & Thursday) and 2pm - 5pm (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday).

Kincorth Library is open 10am - 1pm (Tuesday - Thursday) and 2pm - 5pm (Tuesday & Thursday).


Please note that access to the Central Library for research purposes is available by appointment only.

We continue to provide our Click and Collect service, Home Library Service and full access to our wide range of digital online resources including eBooks and eNewspapers.

To ensure physical distancing there will be fewer PCs available at each site, PC sessions will be limited to 1 hour and must be booked in advance online or by phone.

There are currently no fines on items so please hold onto your books until you are ready to use the click and collect service or until libraries re-open.

Home Library Service

In addition to the Click and Collect Service the Home Library Service provides reading and audio-visual materials to users who cannot attend the library due to disability, illness or because they are caring for someone. Anybody not currently signed-up for this service who would like to be considered should call 01224 498160 or email HomeLibrary@aberdeencity.gov.uk
