ACADEMIC FREEDOM
Contact: Diana Leonard
This group promotes principles of academic freedom, tenure, and due process in Higher Ed through the development of policy documents and reports relating to these subjects and the application of those principles to particular situations that are brought to its attention.
CONTINGENT FACULTY
Contact: Magalí Rabasa.
Over the course of the past year, this group has crafted a detailed report on the role of Contingent Faculty at L&C. After fora and other outreach, the group has devised a motion that would establish a clear policy and time-line for CAS contract renewal for contingent faculty.
BUDGET (BCC)
Contact: Julio de Paula.
This group seeks transparency, shared governance, and equity in regards to the L&C budget. They have been hard at work identifying a proposal for shared governance in upcoming budgetary decisions with a focus on safeguarding equity and core academic functions while integrating all three schools in budget decisions.

This group seeks works to strengthen shared faculty governance at Lewis & Clark, and ensure that faculty and instructional staff have a meaningful say in decisions.

ORGANIZATION & SOLIDARITY

This group works to build chapter engagement and to connect us with local like-minded groups and with AAUP national. The group is actively finding ways for our members to stand in solidarity with labor movements around the Portland area.
