Science

The 7th graders are currently learning about density.

We finished up MAPS testing today. I think the kids a super glad to have that done and behind us.

Next week in Science we will have our first Quiz. The Quiz will include: vocabulary, volume of water, regular, and irregular shaped objects, water displacement, reading graduated cylinders and beakers, and metric measurement. We will review on Monday and the quiz will be Tuesday,

We were busy this week with 2 labs. Enjoy the pictures below!

Cup Challenge and Team Building

We are currently working on reviewing the Metric System, and practicing reading and using different science equipment. Students should expect to have a quiz next week do demonstrate what they have learned.

Welcome to 7th Grade Science!

We are off to a great start in science. The students have finished a couple of group activities and one experiment. Enjoy the added photos.

All students should have their Science Lab contract signed and turned in.

The 7th graders are currently learning about density. They learned all about why Regular Coke sinks in water and Diet Coke floats. They are starting an assignment where they have to write a letter to the Coca Cola customers explaining that Regular Coke does not have more Coke per can than Diet Coke.

Check out your child's letter. Have them explain this situation to you. They are becoming experts.
