High School Mathematics

An essential element in meeting our mission is to ensure that students are developing into effective mathematical problem-solvers and thinkers. Through problem solving, reasoning, logic, and communication in a variety of situations, students come to appreciate the wider application and use of mathematics, both as a discipline in its own right and as a means of interpreting and understanding the world.

The 9 and 10 mathematics program is based on the rigorous Common Core Standards, which are divided into the following domains: Ratios & Proportional Relationships, The Number System, Expressions and Equations, Geometry, Measurement, Functions, and Statistics & Probability. Standards-based assessments and feedback are used to communicate student progress using the AAS 4 Levels Academic Rubric. Grades 9 and 10 Reportables (Reporting Standards) can be found here.

In Grades 11-12, the following courses are offered. Applications and Interpretations (SL) and Analysis and Approaches (SL/HL). Student progress and achievement are reported using the 1-7 IB Scale.
