For pre-K through 9th grade there are sets of paired online videos and books with accompanying learning activities. These include vocabulary and story sequencing activities. Because the books can be read aloud, this site is great for working on both language comprehension and reading comprehension
Website: Search for information about 1000’s of topics and read or listen to short age-appropriate articles. Each article includes highlighted “wonder words” which are tier 2 vocabulary words with vocabulary matching and review activities. Tier 2 vocabulary words are high-frequency words that are widely used across spoken and written environments (including school curriculum). Understanding these words is crucial in improving the ability to accurately describe concepts, and improve both language and reading comprehension.
