What does a School Counselor do? 

• Academic Support Help students register for necessary classes

• Help students, parents and teachers identify strategies that support a student's success at school. 

• Career Help students plan for High School and beyond! (College, careers, life goals, EDPs)

• Social & emotional Help students learn about their feelings, behaviors, and how to get along well with others. 

• Provide individual and group counseling for challenges such as bullying, anxiety, grief, or friendship issues. 

• Crisis Intervention Respond to school and community crises, offering support to students and helping them navigate difficult situations like divorce, trauma, or family emergencies
