A parent or guardian must register the student each quarter. Space is limited and clubs are on a first come basis. A waitlist may be started if clubs are over capacity. Click on the club heading to register.
The GSA (Gender and Sexualities Alliance) is an after school club that welcomes all students and is designed to create a safe space for the LGBQT community and their allies. The club strives to help students develop positive relationships between peers and work toward creating a more inclusive environment at Forsythe.

Black Student Union (BSU) is an all-inclusive club that spotlights the African Americans experience, achievements, culture and history, past and present. Students participate weekly with activities that include discussions in the areas of current events and personal academic success. Planning and rehearsing for school-wide events in the areas of public speaking, leadership roles as student ambassadors, greeting parents and hosting assemblies, as well as community service projects are some of the highlights. The Forsythe Black Student Union has been in existence for over 20 years.

Students can stay after school in a supervised environment to work on their assignments. This will allow students to use school resources such as computers and reference materials.

Students will learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons, a popular tabletop role playing game.
The three pillars of the game will be exploration, social interaction, and combat. Students will learn the rules of the game, create characters, and role play through each session. Students have an opportunity to learn teamwork, creative writing and character development, and improvisational choices. Above all, role playing games are theater of the mind, and cultivate a high degree of imagination.

Magic is fun to play because you use your imagination, and it's basically a cross between the adult version of pokemon and dungeons and dragons. Magic was the first trading card game produced and continues to thrive. Each game represents a battle between wizards known as “planeswalkers”, who employ spells, artifacts, and creatures depicted on individual Magic cards to defeat their opponents.

A national middle school mathematics competition that builds problem-solving skills and fosters achievement through four levels of fun, in-person “bee” style contests. Grab your lunch quickly then meet for some fun.
A $35 donation is requested but not mandatory. Donations are applied to registration fees during competition season. Checks can be made out to the PTSO, (memo MathCounts).

National History Day Competition Club
Do you love history? Help create an individual or group project supporting the theme of “rights and responsibilities in history”. The project can be a documentary, exhibit, paper, performance or website. Information about attending the Michigan History Day competition and showcasing your project will be available. Competing is not required.

This club is available to all school musicians for enrichment and support. Students practice individually, receive coaching, practice in small groups to help each other improve, and learn music beyond what is covered in class. Socializing is encouraged as long as students are engaged in music work.

Curious about health, medicine, or helping others? HOSA gives you a chance to explore medical careers, learn real-world skills, and connect with Skyline students who share your interests. With fun activities, service projects, and opportunities to shine at competitions, this club helps you grow your confidence and your future. Come see what you can achieve with HOSA!
There is a suggested donation of $65 to attend the competition in March and to cover the membership fee. Please make a check payable to the PTSO. Be sure to write on the check in the notes that it is for HOSA club. If you send in cash, please put it in a sealed envelope and write on the envelope that it is for the HOSA club and turn it into the front office.

Club meetings are on these specific dates only: 1/12, 1/26, 2/9, and 2/23 in room 111 with Ms. Wang and Thomas Wang. Optional meeting for 3/2 planned for those who need help prior to the conference on 3/7.

The crochet club is a space to learn or get better at crochet (no experience necessary).The club will do mini projects and members will learn new patterns and stitches. Equipment will be provided.
Meet Ms. Castillo and student Olivia Zeichman, in room 405, during 6th grade lunch only, on Mondays.
The pompon club is open to all students. Pom is a mix of cheerleading and dance but without the tricks and flips that come with cheerleading. Students will work with the Skyline pompon coach, Carrie Bora, to create pompon dance routines.
A $10 donation is suggested. This pays for replacement poms and t-shirts for the team.

Art Club is for all students with an interest in art, and for all skill levels. Hang out in the art room, where you will create personal art alongside students with the same interests. There will also be an opportunity for students to work on a larger, collaborative project. Students will work with Ms. Martin to decide what they would like to focus on. This club is open to all sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students.

Chess Club is a welcoming space for students to learn and enjoy the game of chess. Participants of all skill levels gather to practice strategies, compete in friendly matches, and improve their critical thinking skills. Beyond fostering a love for chess, the club promotes patience, sportsmanship, and analytical reasoning, while also offering a fun social outlet for students to connect with peers outside of regular class hours.

This club is designed for students interested in learning more about the aspects of theater. This includes learning stage terminology, working on acting skills, set building, and costumes/makeup design.
A $20 donation is suggested as this helps pay for new scripts. Checks can be made payable to Forsythe Middle School and labeled in the notes "Drama Club". Donations can be dropped off at the front desk or given to the club advisor.

Do you enjoy drama, silliness, and a great plot?
Well then join our club! We watch object shows and be a part of a community! Some object shows have gotten so big some episodes are played in theaters around the country! Object shows have been being made for years by kids your age, for almost two decades now! You get to watch the show grow! This was just a brief explanation of what objects show’s are but there's so much more! If you are a part of the OSC (Object Show Community), have heard of object shows, or find it interesting then consider joining the Object Show Club!
