LEX is the national paralegal and legal studies honor society and celebrates students who demonstrate the three pillars of LEX: scholarship, leadership, and integrity
Institutional members of AAfPE who agree to comply with LEX policies and procedures are eligible to become LEX Chapters.

To become a member, complete the application and pay the one-time fee.
Membership remains in effect while the institution is a member of AAfPE. There is no need to reapply or pay an annual fee.
STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
Inductees must be students in good standing at or alumni of a member institution.
At the time of induction, student must have completed at least one-half of the program requirements. LEX Chapters may determine additional criteria and qualifications for membership in its Chapter that meet or exceed national standards.
Students must demonstrate commitment to the three pillars of LEX: scholarship, leadership, and integrity.
Students must have superior academic performance, evidenced by an overall grade point average of 3.25 or higher and a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their paralegal or legal studies courses.
Students demonstrate leadership through their excellent academic performance and commitment to lead the paralegal profession.
Students who have engaged in academic dishonesty, as defined by the Chapter institution, are ineligible for LEX membership.
