Brooke Giordano is the main point of contact this year for A-High's Annual ReNew YOU event! She has recently entered her 13th year in education and her 11th with AACPS in the Annapolis Cluster. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 18 years and is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. To Brooke, yoga is a beautiful unification of the mind, body, and spirit that helps bring peace within even in the midst of life's many obstacles. When teaching, Brooke strives to provide students the space to take what they need and make their practice their own. Outside of teaching yoga, Brooke loves traveling the world and partaking in all things outdoors!
Amy Beller is a Community School Program Manager at Annapolis Middle School. She loves teaching Annapolis Middle School students all about mindfulness and the power of breath.
Dave Kellermann has been teaching math in AACPS for 12 years and yoga for 3 years. He's currently teaching Algebra I, AP Calculus, and Stretch Your Wellness at North County High School. He has completed his yoga teacher training through Sivananda and has been cultivating a daily Vipassana meditation practice. He's also helping co-lead a Mindfulness/Wellness course for members of the NCHS community this winter and hopes to open it up to the entire county next year!
In addition to being Annapolis High’s School Social Worker, Kerry Mueller is a yoga and meditation teacher and is passionate about helping students to build their own “wellness toolboxes” – skills that all youth need to get through the teenage years. Kerry earned her 200-hour YTT with Breathe for Change - an organization for educators. She is currently working toward her 300-hour YTT with Pranakriya. When she isn’t at AHigh or teaching yoga, Kerry loves spending time with her family, taking photos, and travelling the globe.
MacDuff Perkins (Duffy) is the owner of the new Annapolis yoga studio, Groundswell. Duffy received her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification in 2012 and her 300-hour certification in 2017. She teaches yoga, leads domestic and international retreats, and leads yoga certification trainings annually. Her writing is published in Yoga Journal, UpStART Magazine, Chesapeake Bay Magazine, SAIL Magazine, and many others.
When she is not teaching, Duffy enjoys reading, long-distance running, and sailing. She is a soprano with the Annapolis Chorale. A committed Buddhist, Duffy studies the Soto Zen tradition with Sky Above Great Wind sangha in Washington, DC. She lives in Annapolis with her husband and two children.
Linda completed her first Yoga Alliance 200-hour teacher certification in 2013 in Yin and Vinyasa yoga. She has since completed an additional 500-hour Yoga Alliance advanced teacher training certification in Tantra Hatha Yoga (Swami Kripalu lineage/Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts). Currently, she is concluding the final practicum hours of the 95-hour Yoga Alliance specialty teacher training certification in children's yoga led by Pranakriya, PK Kids.
Along with her personal yoga practice, and as her professional life allows, Linda teaches yoga classes, works with private clients, and teaches classes and workshops in international venues.
When not teaching yoga, Linda is an international technology, transaction and media attorney as well as provides strategic global business advisory services. She originally sought out yoga to help balance the challenges of her overseas travel and law practice. Linda practices in Spanish, English and is a student of French
