Your performance has a direct impact:
๐งฎ MCAP Algebra I (ALG) and ๐ MCAP ELA 10 scores are used to determine eligibility for the College & Career Ready (CCR) Endorsement.
๐๏ธ MCAP U.S. Government and ๐ฌ MCAP MISA scores count as 20% of your final course grade.

To maintain a secure testing environment:
โ NO cell phones
โ NO smart watches
โ NO AirPods or headphones
โ NO hats
Any prohibited items must be turned off and stored away according to school procedures.

Arrive at school on time and ready to test. Late arrivals may need to participate in a make-up session.

Students who are absent will be scheduled for a make-up session. Dates will be announced.

In addition to quarterly assessments, students take the following state assessments and earn a passing score for graduation:
MCAP Mathematics for Algebra I Assessment (End of Course Grade)ย
MCAP English 10 Assessment.ย ย ย
HSA in US Government (normally in 10th grade).ย ย
MISA in Science (9th, 10th, or 11th grade, depending on the student's course sequence).ย
College and Career Readiness at AACPS - In Accordance with MD Blue Print

The Blueprint for Marylandโs Future law focuses on College and Career Readiness (CCR) for graduating seniors.ย Under this law, CCR is a designation that students may earn at the end of Grade 10.ย In January of 2024, the State Board of Education (SBOE) determined that students could earn the CCR designation in one of three ways:

Cumulative (unweighted) GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of grade 10 AND a grade of C or better in the Algebra 1 course.
Cumulative (unweighted) GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of grade 10 AND scoring a 750 or above on the MCAP Algebra 1 assessment.
Scoring a 750 or above on both the MCAP Algebra 1 AND MCAP ELA 10 assessments.
The CCR designation is NOT a requirement for graduation.ย
