Hi! I’m Ms. M, and I teach Government here at North County High School. This is my second year at North County, and my journey into teaching started when I volunteered to tutor kids — I loved helping them learn and grow, and that experience inspired me to pursue education full time. As the newspaper advisor, I love seeing students’ creativity shine, from brainstorming story ideas to watching their hard work come to life in print. It’s exciting to see how much pride and teamwork goes into each edition. Outside of school, I enjoy gaming, reading, and spending time with my family.

Hi! I’m Olivia Ridgely, and I’m a junior here at North County High School. This is my third year on the newspaper staff — I started out as a writer and PR lead, and now I’m serving as an editor. I first joined because I wanted to get more involved, and I quickly discovered how much I love writing and helping the paper grow. I’m especially proud of how much our club has expanded and the amazing new members we’ve gained.

Outside of the newspaper, I’m the PR Officer and Historian for the National French Honor Society, and I’m also part of Rho Kappa and the National English Honor Society. I’m a dancer with the Senior Dance Company at school and also compete in dance outside of school. I’ve loved writing stories since I was about seven years old, and after high school, I hope to pursue something in government or law.

Hey! I'm Payton Rogers, I'm a Sophomore at North County High School. This is my 1st year in Newspaper! I'm Assistant editor and it's an honor to have this position. I joined to be in more extracurricular activities because I love to journal and write about lots of creative activities and advertise the underestimated. I first signed up to be a PR officer and was offered the position to be Assistant Editorial. By just looking at this club from afar I can tell it's going places! 

Outside of Newspaper, Art Editorial in Literary Magazine, and a Musician in Tri-M (Modern Music Masters Nation Honor Society). Writing is definitely a passion of mine and I'm always willing to grow! I love my and other peoples creativity and I want it to flourish through this club, whether it's through writing or any other hobby. After High school I hope to go into Ballistic Forensic Science and Music.

Hey, I'm Stacy Hamilton! I am a junior. I joined newspaper because I love to be heard and put myself out there. Having an opinion on most things makes being in Newspaper super fun because I always get to add my say. I just started newspaper this year and I'm super excited to continue on.

Besides the newspaper, I am a team manager for the varsity football team, I cheer and I am the secretary for the class of 2027!

Hi! My name is Nina Owens, this is my 1st year being in newspaper. I am also a 10th grader. My job in the newspaper is photographer! Why I'm so happy to have this job is because I love taking photos! (I love taking photos of flowers the most.) Anyways - besides the newspaper, I love making jewelry! I've been doing it for at least 3-4 years and I have my own business (@ninas_necessities is my account if you're interested!) Altogether, being in this club makes me happy! I'm honestly so grateful to be in it!

Hi, I'm Abby, and I'm a junior at North County. Outside of newspaper club, Iam an actress with the drama club and a violinist with the school orchestra. I'm also a musician and author. When I graduate, I plan to join the military and go to college for theater arts and/or forensic science.

Hi, I'm Kirstin Carder! This is my first year in newspaper! I wanted to join because I love to write. I'm a sophomore this year and I'm also in Key Club and I manage the football team. 

Not only do I love writing, but I love sports and since 5th grade I've wanted to go to Penn State and become a sports journalist.

Hello! I'm Liam Sullivan, and I am in my sophomore year of high school here at North County. This is my first year in newspaper club. I joined the newspaper because I am incredibly passionate about writing and several friends recommended the club to me. I mainly write about events held by the NCHS band, which I am a part of. I have played the French horn for 6 years. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, National French Honors, and mock trial as well as participating in dance outside of school.
