Thank you to all our wonderful families that attended our first Family Engagement of the school year! This event was all about our families telling their story about their lives.
Every month the Judy Center Early Learning Hub invites all Pre-K and ECSE families for the Coffee Club! During the event, refreshments are served and if a parent or guardian has any questions or concerns about their child, Judy Center staff can assist them.
Every Monday during the months of September through November, families are welcomed to walk three laps around Georgetown East Elementary School with the Judy Center Early Learning Hub staff from 8:00am-8:30am (weather permitting).
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub welcomed all Pre-K4 students with Ms. Booberg (the principal), Ms. Muñoz and Ms. Walker (Community Schools), and Mr. Thompson (school counselor)
Willy Woo Woo hosted two events at the Judy Center Early Learning Hub's summer program: "Bubble Trouble" and "Foam Party". These events were a lot of fun and children enjoyed experimenting with bubbles and foam!
Ms. Ramirez would read a story with the families and children would create a craft based on the story that was read. These storytimes were bilingual!
My Gym visited the Judy Center Early Learning Hub every week during the summer! Parents and guardians learned new ways to play and move with their child.
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub partnered with Eastport Annapolis Neck library to provide parents/guardians with information about behaviors and information about their local library.
Everyone who attended the Eastport Annapolis Neck Community Baby Shower at the Eastport Annapolis Library received many takeaways and connected with wonderful resources in our area. Thank you to all of our partners who attended. A special thank you to Anne Arundel County Public Library (Eastport Annapolis Neck location) for hosting the event with us and to Aetna for providing a wonderful door prize of a car seat stroller combination.
Artsy Partsy visited the Judy Center Early Learning Hub before our summer program started. Look at that cute fish craft!
Port Discovery was a blast! Children were able to visit a play supermarket, slide and climb, and visit a play farm!
Parents or guardians of AACPs could visit Georgetown East Elementary School to receive assistance with filling out the Pre-K applications.
Willy Woo Woo visited the Judy Center Early Learning Hub families to show off bunnies and chicks! Children got a surprise visit from the Spring Bunny!
Children created beautiful snow sun catchers, a sensory snow man and were able to play in snow sensory bins!
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub believes that learning shouldn't just be at school! All ECSE, Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students received extension bags. These extension bags were filled with fun crafts, a book and an education game that relates to the book.
To help families reduce stress during the holiday season, the Judy Center Early Learning Hub created this event to teach parents/guardians the effects of stress, ways to alleviate stress and relax.
This family engagement event was all about working together as a family to create crafts and snacks!
Culture Celebration was an event that celebrated all the different cultures in our community. Families brought in foods and drinks that represented their cultures.
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub partnered with the Infants and Toddlers program to have an education event all about routines.
Families painted wooden trees and had fun playing in sensory bins.
Our families were read a book and did activities on the English alphabet!
Ms. Julie led a conversation on different feeding preferences. Everyone received a bottle kit, a blender and a boppy!
Community Schools and the Judy Center Early Learning Hub partnered up to make the Health Fair an amazing spot for learning! Thank you to all our partners that came to educate our community on your organization and thank you to all the families that attended!
This is not your average scavenger hunt! Children were able to have a shopping cart and pick up various play food items and find a stuffed turkey! At the end, children checked out their items at the cash register and took it all home.
Ms. Julie crafted a recipe book and taught families how to make a vegetable soup! At the end, families were able to take home the delicious meal in their crockpot, child-safe knives and cooking utensils!
Look at all those pumpkins! Children in ECSE, Pre-K3, Pre-K4 and Kindergarten were able to go outside and pick a pumpkin,
Families of the Judy Center Early Learning Hub took a field trip to Playseum! There was so many fun play areas like a barnyard, a resturant and a theatre!
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub had their first ever "Trick or Trunk". So many families came out to trick or treat! Thank you to all our partners and staff that made this night fun for our community!
Assistance League donated so many costumes! On the other side of the sidewalk there were even more tables filled with costumes. The sizes ranged from baby to adult, so everyone was able to get costumes for their whole family.
Ms. Julie taught parents/guardians ways to keep safe trick or treating. At the end of the presentation, families received a small flashlight.
Children were able to play in a sensory bin, wash pumpkins, paint wooden pumpkins and a real pumpkin!
Ms. Julie discussed how to protect your children in different rooms in the home. All families who attended this event received a kitchen safety kit and a bathroom safety kit.
Ms. LaTasha Coleman from SNAP-Ed came for our Tiny Tots! She taught us all about healthy eating habits. She will be coming back every month for more tips and fun!
The dentist visited all Pre-K3, Pre-K4 and Kindergarten students (only those with consent forms)! They got their teeth brushed, checked and got a sticker with a toothbrush at the end.
Children had fun playing in foam and creating bubbles!
Clark's Elioak Farm was a field trip to remember! Everyone was able to pet chickens, goats, horses, and even an emu!
The Judy Center staff and families watched the movie "Elemental". It was a very great movie about teamwork.

Willy Woo Woo showed us ways to make huge bubbles!
Totsville had sand pits, slides, ball pits, a rock wall and swings!
There was so much fun to be had with Mini Mix. Children enjoyed ball pits, slides, bouncy houses and toys.
My Gym made awesome obstacle courses and played movement games with the children.
Water Day was a perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day! Children were able to splash at splash pads, play with a water table, and run around in sprinklers.
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub started their summer with a huge distribution! Thank you to Assistance League and our families for donating all these wonderful items.
The Judy Center staff took our parents to the Maryland Zoo! There we saw animals and got to pet goats.
The Teddy Bear Picnic was a outdoor event where every child who attended received a build-a-bear, a hoodie for the bear, an outdoor blanket, a book and a picnic basket filled with cuttable toy fruit.
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub and the Eastport-Annapolis Neck library teamed up to throw an amazing Baby Shower with our partners!
Hoppy the Bunny visited the Judy Center Early Learning Hub to create crafts, take pictures and eat a delicious breakfast provided by IHop.
The Judy Center Early Learning Hub conducted a survey and provided refreshments donated from Dunkin'! Thank you to everyone who provided feedback - we look forward to using your suggestions and comments to better provide from our community.

The AACPL (Anne Arundel County Public Library) visited our Pre-K classes to share the fun of reading!
The sweetheart dance was hosted by Community Schools and the Judy Center Early Learning Hub. Over 300 people attended to show off their awesome dance moves!
Community Schools and the Judy Center Early Learning Hub had a movie night! Everyone had treats and watched "Maya the Bee: The Golden Orb".
Families took home a gingerbread house and an elf hat to decorate.
The author of "Turtles In My Sandbox", Jennifer Keats Kurtis read her book to Pre-K 3, 4 and Kindergarten. Teachers and students learned so much about diamondback terrapins. Every child received an autographed book.
Maritime Museum visited our Pre-K 3 and 4 classes to sing, read and show everyone all the cool fish that live in our ocean!
With the help of our partners and volunteers, the Judy Center Early Learning Hub and Community Schools were able to give out turkeys, thanksgiving food items, diapers, clothing and winter wear and so much more to the community!
Fall Fun was an afterschool program designed to provide extra assistance to any Pre-K 4 student. Students learned more about the letters in their name, book terminology, and different seasons.
Pre-K 3, 4 and Kindergarten had so much fun picking out pumpkins, playing in our sensory bin and listening to a story!
The first Thursday of every month starting at 2:30pm is our Chat and Chew. This is where the Judy Center Early Learning Hub provides a snack and talks to Pre-K 3 parents/guardians about education, upcoming events and more. At the end of every Chat and Chew, a take-home bag is given to every family that includes an educational game, worksheet and craft.
So many amazing artists showed off their skills by painting a dahlia! The dahlia is the national flower of Mexico.
Our tutoring program lasted for six weeks and was taught by Ms. Borza and Ms. Cottrell.
Play and Learn allows parents and caregivers to participate in activities around social emotional skills, literacy and math skills.
Healthy Little Cooks came to teach all the parents and guardians about yummy, healthy foods that can be cooked without electric.
Artsy Partsy had the children express themselves creativity by painting, and coloring masterpieces.
My Gym was here to get the children and the parents and guardians up and moving with fun ways to work out.
Infant Massage taught parents and guardians about wonderful ways to soothe their infants and help them rest easier.
To cool off a hot summer, the children splashed and the water! There was even a sprinkler and fun floats.
There was a huge turnout for the pop-up! We had so much help and gave away so much.
This was an event we had last winter where the children made gingerbread houses and gingerbread people!
Making the Earth a better place is what we did on Earth Day! We dug, planted and decorated the outside of our school!
