1. Get an Instrument
First Instrument Option:
Rent or purchase from a Music Store.
Preferred Method for beginners.
Guaranteed high quality instrument with repairs and replacement built into your rental. Good instruments give students the best chance at learning an instrument. Click below to see list of music stores.
Second Instrument Option:
Buy an instrument on Amazon
These instruments are not high quality. Music repair shops usually will not fix them if they break. They can get the job done if it is your only option.
Tips on navigating buying an instrument on Amazon:
Understand that there is some risk in this.
The less the cost, the less quality instrument.
Instruments should come with all materials listed. If the instrument is already broken or missing something, send it back.
It should look like other instruments. Avoid blue, purple, or any other color instruments--they are the lowest quality.
Third Instrument Option:
Borrow an instrument from the School.
You should have marked "borrow instrument from school" on the registration form.
