Bubbles is the exhalation of air underwater. Blow out while under the water and breathe in when mouth is above the water. Exhaling can be accomplished by blowing out of the nose, mouth or both at the same time.

Bobbing is a beginning swimming skill. It helps learn rhythmic breathing which is used in most swim strokes. Bobbing is also a survival skill taught if you can't swim, you can jump back to safety while still getting air.
