Huddle is done with a group of people who are in life jackets to stay together and to keep each other warm with shared body heat. Facing each other with arms around your neighbors waist is the ideal huddle position. If you have your arms or hand too high on your neighbor you could sink them. The huddle also allows you to insert the more vulnerable to hypothermia in the middle of the group. This could include an injured person or sick person, a very young or older person. Besides the benefit of warmth the Huddle is an easier way for rescuers to find you.
