We have chosen to explore the topic of stereotypes pushed about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder(OCD) by creating a live performance, showcasing different types of OCD and different ways it affects people's mental, emotional, and social well being. OCD is often seen as just being clean and organized, when in reality it can be very destructive. Perpetuating these stereotypes dismisses the very real struggles that those with OCD face everyday.
A live performance intended for all, come have a seat and enjoy the show. All guests are invited to participate in an interactive discussion of the artist's work immediately following their presentation. Please note, this performance covers the topic of Mental Health and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
We all have overwhelming fears that stay with us forever. Each performer chose a personal fear, represented through the choreography, as well as the music composed. These fears tend to reside in our heads all of the time, and by showcasing this in a dance performance, it illustrates that fears stay with us. The anxiety provoking horrors displayed in this capstone hold a distinctive space in our everyday lives.
Welcome to the horror simulator, where you must face your deepest, most sinister fears. The simulation requires five contestants. One contestant will step into the ring, fighting to overcome their trial while the other contestants attempt to secure their own victory. See who will survive their trial, if any at all.
There will be bright lights, as well as some scary content - viewer discretion is advised.
