Scheduling Timeline
2026-2027 School Year
January 21st: Scheduling Night for all Parents/Guardians and Students. (Presentation HERE)
January 30th: Scheduling Advisory Lesson for current AHS students (Rising 10th-12th Grade) (Presentation HERE)
January 21st: PowerSchool Student Portal will open for students to enter course requests.
January 27th (Bates Middle School): Scheduling Lesson for current 8th grade students (Rising 9th Grade)
January 29th (Annapolis Middle School): Scheduling Lesson for current 8th grade students (Rising 9th Grade)
February 2nd : PowerSchool Student Portal will CLOSE. All course requests are due!
February 2nd - Mid March: Current high school students (Rising 10th-12th graders) will meet with their assigned School Counselor for course advising. All course requests entered by the student will be reviewed with the School Counselor and any adjustments can be made at this time. School Counselors will review all rising 9th grade requests and correct any errors.
TBD: Course Verification will open. Families will review course selections one last time and make any needed corrections. This is not a copy of the student schedule, only a list of requests. This will be the last opportunity to make any changes to next year's course requests.
Course Verification through the first day of school: Scheduling Freeze. No schedule change requests can be made. AHS Administration and Counselors work to determine teacher allocations and class assignments and also build the master schedule and individual student schedules. In order to be equitable to all students, this time is blacked out for changes in order fulfill every students' initial course requests as best as possible. Please remember that not every course request may be granted and alternates may need to be used.
The First 10 Days of School: Students will receive a copy of their finalized schedule the week prior of the start of school via the Student Portal. Students must follow instructions on the schedule change request page to request a change to their schedule. All students must follow their current schedule until a change has been confirmed by their School Counselor.
