• Make sure to sign up for the novel (to create reading groups)

• Read the novel and annotate well

• Consider Essential Questions as you read

• Choose one of two writing assignments to complete:

  • a two-page reflection OR

  • four journal entries

• Single subject notebook or "composition book" to use for writing journal

• pens, pencils, highlighters
