Summer Work for AP Music Theory

To prepare for the rigor of the AP Music Theory curriculum, it is important that you have a strong foundation in music fundamentals.

Summer Work Assignment:

• Go to the Gmajormusic Fundamentals Workbook online
• You are responsible for knowing the material on pages 1-27 (Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4 up through section 4.4)
• I recommend skimming material that you already know and printing and completing any pages that you do not know. You do NOT need to turn these in.
• Answers begin on p. 193 so that you can check your understanding.
• There is an index of terms on page 251.

• Be ready for a short assessment on this material during the first week of school
