Final Session

Construction of knowledge

Each team will present briefly to the rest of the classroom the results obtained in their research (including the experiments of step 5), and justify your conclusions (we think that.....because....; In this case....but in this case is not...so, we concluded that ; Comparing ....with...are identical, and as a consequence...)

After each presentation, the rest of the students will be able to make questions, support or discuss conclusions. The accepted conclusions and the controverted points will be kept separated on the blackboard.

Learning to learn

Once we have discussed the conclusions of all the teams, short discussion about the process developed during the activity. Some questions to start:

  • Did you talk to somebody during the process?
  • Have you tested someway your opinions?
  • Did you got complementary/contradictory conclusions? How did you solve it?
  • Have you discovered something new using someone else's ideas as a departing point?
    • Did you find some disagreements? How did you solve it?
    • Which of this processes would happen also in the real scientific community?
