The "School to Dentist Program" is a school initiative designed to promote oral health and oral hygiene among students by providing convenient access to dental care services. This program aims to address the common barriers to dental care by coordinating dental referrals, appointments, and transportation for students.
This program provides an opportunity for students to receive routine dental check-ups, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and educational sessions on the importance of oral hygiene. Early detection and treatment of dental issues can significantly reduce the risk of long-term oral health problems, helping students maintain healthy teeth and gums, which are crucial for their overall well-being and academic performance.
Parents are kept informed of their child’s dental health, and referrals are made for any necessary follow-up care. By making dental care accessible and integral to the school experience, the School to Dentist Program helps foster a generation of children who are informed, healthy, and ready to succeed.
