I am a music education graduate of Radford University in Radford, Virginia. I spent 14 years at home with my four children and established a private piano studio. I earned a national certification in piano through MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) and became Orff Level 1 certified. I am currently a member of NAFME (National Association for Music Educators).
I started teaching at Woods in 2008 and I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach at Woods. I am looking forward to working with returning students and getting to know the students new to Woods. I hope to guide students in their musical discovery in creating music and gaining an appreciation for such an expressive art form.
On a more personal level, I am married with four wonderful children that attend Woods or have graduated from Woods. I maintain a private piano studio in addition to working at Woods. I also get to work with a middle school chorus at our church. I love just about anything pink, Skittles and the Dallas Cowboys.
