Wells High School Mission Statement
"Our mission is to empower all students through individualized instruction to become literate critical thinkers and problem solvers committed to civic engagement."
Information about the Geometry course:
This is a college-level (CP) course and students will be expected to work hard to understand the material and complete the in-class and take-home assignments. Doing well in this course will enable the student to have success in CP Algebra 2, the next math course to be taken at WHS. Being successful in this course also indicates that the student is a critical thinker and problem solver. See the first-day information letter attached below for all the details about how this course is structured.
I'll be using Jupiter Grades to record and report student progress and assessment. Check my Home Page to see all the details regarding class usage of the various websites.
I am available after school most days except Early Release Wednesdays. Please let me know at school if you want to stay with me that day after school to get extra help.
The homework is posted daily in Jupiter Grades and Google Classroom. Missed homework needs to be made up as soon as possible and definitely before the quiz or test on that material. Students are expected to do their best on quizzes and tests.
Any lessons or handouts that are post-worthy can be found attached in Jupiter grades. Homework Answer keys may be posted on Google Classroom the day after they are due.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me at abridge@wocsd.org.
Below is an informational letter that I distribute to students. Now I also post it here in digital form.
