>Study Abroad Opportunities

  • The Social Studies Department strongly encourages all students to think about spending part of their high school experience studying abroad in another country. These experiences can be life-changing, with students learning new languages, experiencing diverse cultures, learning different perspectives, and becoming more of a global citizen. Students who have spent part of their high school years studying abroad have been inspired to continue their interest in other cultures and parts of the world by continuing to learn other languages, majoring in fields like International Relations in college, and working and volunteering abroad. These experiences vary, from two weeks over the summer to spending an entire school year abroad, and include dozens of nations throughout the world. In the past few years, BFUHS students have studied abroad in the following countries: Belize, Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Germany, Ireland, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Ghana, China, Japan, Turkey, Morocco, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, and India. Where will you go?
