Certificates

BTEC - IB - IGCSE certificates estimated arrival dates:

  • BTEC - early to mid-July

  • IB - late Sep to early Oct

  • IGCSE - early Nov

Collection point, time and method

Place: exams office, room 303, 3/F, Block B [behind MPH Hall – near Lift]

Time: weekdays between 08:00 – 15:30 (or after appointment)

Students: bring along your WIS student card for identification purpose

Alumni: bring along your ID card or passport for identification purpose

Nominated person: An alumni must first submit his/her consent to the exams officer before sending a nominee to collect his/her certificates. Nominee must bring along HKID card or passport for identification purpose. To avoid delays, please inform the examinations officer of your visit first [email: external.examinations@wis.edu.hk].

Important Notice

    • Certificates are the exclusive property of the examinee and can only be handed over to the examinee or a person appointed by the examinee. Please ensure you bring along your identification papers and the duly filled in Consent Form before approaching the examinations office for collection of certificates. In very exceptional cases where the graduate cannot complete the Consent Form, he/she can send a formal authorization message via email. This email must mention the full name of his/her appointee and HKID or passport number.

  • Certificates are important documents which should be kept in a safe place at all times. Beware, replacement is time consuming and costly.

  • Certificates must – according to exam board regulations – be kept by our centre for minimum 12 months. Hereafter we are free to destroy them. West Island School is currently keeping certificates of alumni dating back to 1999. If you suspect you never collected your certificates, please contact us as soon as possible
