About My Classroom and Me!

About The Classroom

Mrs. Korber's Class Rules

Students must have their Chromebook with them every day. Our World Languages programs use our school issued Chromebooks daily..

No cell phones or other electronics, etc.

Bring required materials every day unless you are otherwise directed.

Use polite speech and body language. Unkind teasing and impolite behavior is unacceptable. We DO NOT tolerate any sort of bullying!

Do not cheat. Students caught cheating will receive a zero. I expect you to do your own work and to be sure no one can copy it. This includes the usage of any online translation sites such as Google Translate.

Tutoring is offered after school by appointment.

Windber School District has a new, exciting change to its World Languages courses for the 2023-2024 school year. We will be using a new textbook series from Carnegie Learning for our French and Spanish programs. We will be using the textbooks T'es Branché? for our French courses and the textbook ¡Qué chévere!  for our Spanish courses.

Each course is designed to develop an authentic and practical understanding of the Spanish and French language and culture. Students will have the ability to express their thoughts, feelings, and opinions in the target language within basic, real-life situations and learning scenarios. All new concepts will be introduced in context while incorporating various listening, speaking and writing activities.

I am more than willing to tutor after school. Please do not hesitate to ask for extra help at any time. However, you must make arrangements with me due to family obligations.
