Math

Spring Math

Students will begin class daily with our Spring Math lessons.  These lessons are ungraded, fast-paced lessons that help students master math skills. 

Spring Math combines streamlined tools for assessment, reporting and intervention, and provides a clear path to mastering math in just 15 minutes a day. This type of supplemental curriculum utilizes research backed by math experts to provide real-time images of both short-term and long-term student success in mathematics.

Everyday Math

Students will continue to use Everyday Math as they have in previous school years. There will be a daily lesson taught in class that has journal pages that go along with the lessons. There are also homelinks available for students to practice skills learned in school at home. Home links can be accessed on the spring math website. Lesson plans with the daily assignments and pages are posted under the lesson plans tab of this website.

Science

We will be using Foss Science this year.  Students will learn about various topics, including (Living Systems, Mixtures and Solutions, and Weather on Earth) conduct investigations and keep a science notebook. These will be used to make hypotheses,  write procedures, collect data, make scientific drawings, define science vocabulary, record results. and clarify thinking.
