March Mammal Madness

INSTRUCTIONS FOR E.C.:

Part I: Bracket Completion

1. Print out the bracket page
2. Fill out ALL brackets (choose Praying Mantis for the Wild Card battle) by Tuesday.
   1. Using your completed bracket page, enter your selections into the Google Form by 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13. NO LATE BRACKETS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
3. Be sure to visit the official March Mammal Madness page at ASU. This has information about how each competition is scored.

Part II: Animal Research

1. Choose 2 battles from Round 2 and research the animals involved. You MUST choose one battle where the higher seed prevailed as expected AND one battle where the underdog lower seed pulled off the upset.
2. For each of the animals involved your chosen battles, discuss the following:
   • body mass
   • fight style
   • armor
   • weaponry
   • temperament
   • ability to function in different environments
3. Enter your information in the Google Doc template, save it for yourself, and share it with me by March 28.

Scoring will be as follows:

Wild Card = 1 point

Round 1 = 1 point each

Round 2 = 2 points each

Round 3 = 3 points each

Round 4 = 5 points each

Round 5 = 6 points each

Champion = 13 points
