The beginning of the school year is an exciting time! We will be learning about a variety of topics related to our classroom and the school. We will be talking about the names we have to know at school, what we should do if we get sad or scared at school, what are our rules, when things happen at school, who works at our school, and how we make and keep friends. 

We will also be doing an all about me and my family study. Families are an important part of a child’s identity, and children love to talk about their families.  We will be studying the different people who make up families, how families are different, the function of a family, as well as looking at some of the traditions that each family has. 

As we study families, we will learn concepts in social studies, literacy, and science.  We will also be developing critical thinking skills as we observe, investigate, make connections, ask questions, solve problems, and organize information
