The City of North Adams is pleased to offer for public review the Draft North Adams Hazard Mitigation and Climate Change Adaptation Plan. The purpose of hazard mitigation planning is to reduce or eliminate the need to respond to hazardous conditions that threaten human life and property. Hazard mitigation can be a policy, action, or physical project designed to reduce or eliminate the long-term risks from hazards. The Hazard Mitigation Plan complements the work and findings of the City's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Plan that was developed in 2019.
The Draft Plan will be posted for review on the City's website at www.northadams-ma.gov from December 14 to December 28, 2020. Requested paper copies of the Draft Plan are also available for review; contact Angie Ellison, aellison@northadams-ma.gov (413) 662-3000 x3011 for more information.
