Massachusetts Municipal Conference

The Massachusetts Selectmen's Association is excited to co-host with area groups the Western Massachusetts Municipal Conference on Saturday, October 5 at UMass Amherst.

The event will begin with breakfast and a presentation from the Rural Policy Advisory Commission about its new Rural Plan report.

A cabinet-level official from the Baker-Polito administration will deliver the keynote address, followed by a panel presentation featuring western Massachusetts legislators.

Following a light lunch, there will be four concurrent breakout sessions on the following topics:

    • growing partnerships

    • creative solutions for growing revenue

    • growing populations

    • growing housing opportunities

The Selectmen’s Association is partnering with the Berkshire County Selectmen’s Association, the Franklin County Selectmen’s Association, the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission, the Franklin Regional Council of Governments, and the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission to bring this new event to local officials in western Massachusetts.
