The spirits of Halloween will drift through the Harper Center on Wednesday morning, October 18th at 9:00, it's time for the annual WES "Words are Wonderful "parade. Students from the elementary school will march about the neighborhood dressed as their favorite story book characters and will be greeted at Harper by locals dressed as their favorite haunt...

Lee Jaggi from Health New England will be at the Harper Center on Thursday October 19th at 11:15 to offer a free bone scan for interested participants.. Scans are performed on a hospital quality scanner, each scan involves an assessment of participating individuals foot and ankle bones, an indicator of bone health in general. Everyone gets a personal print out of the results to keep or share with their physician if indicated. Scans take 5 minutes to perform. Reservations are not necessarily required however are appreciated. Lee will be at Harper for two hours, 11:15 to 1:15.

We're recruiting interested parties for the annual AARP Tax Aide program to serve as receptionists and Tax Aide volunteers. If you have a head for numbers, are OK with computers and don't mind helping others, this might be a volunteer opportunity for you! Tax Aides assist others to complete and file their state and federal taxes between February and mid April annually Training and all sorts of support are provided.Interested?
