Please see below and the attached.
Stormwater runoff is generated from rain and snowmelt that flows over land, pavement, and rooftops, and does not soak into the ground. This runoff picks up pollutants like trash, chemicals, oils, and dirt/sediment that can harm our rivers, streams, lakes, and wetlands. Stormwater runoff can also create flooding, wash out roads, and result in damage to other infrastructure. Stormwater controls, known as best management practices (BMPs), can be used to protect these resources. These BMPs can filter out pollutants, retain or infiltrate stormwater, and prevent pollution by controlling it at its source. This workshop will address issues related to stormwater management including the importance of planning ahead through the use of appropriate BMPs and the ongoing maintenance and enforcement necessary to ensure that they function properly.
