Hampshire County Selectboard Association schedule

The Hampshire County Select Board’s Association asked that I forward a message to the towns expressing their thanks to those who attended the recent Association meeting at the Bluebonnet Diner in Northampton.

At the meeting officers were reelected as follows: Nancy Talbot – Ware will serve as President, Alisa Brewer – Amherst will serve as Vice President, William Martell – Pelham will serve as Secretary, Monica Vandoloski – Cummington will serve as Treasurer, and Ken Elstein – Belchertown, will serve At Large. Alisa Brewer was also appointed by the President to serve as the Massachusetts Selectmen’s Association representative.

It was also voted not to assess dues for FY2018. The last year dues were assessed was FY2014.

Meeting dates for the next Association meeting will be March 30th and June 29^th at 5:30 PM at the Bluebonnet Diner in Northampton. Suggestions for future programs range from 1. Unfunded Mandates, 2. Library Funding, 3. DA David Sullivan - Substance Abuse/Funding Updates, 4. Community Preservation Act program, and 5. Public Records Law. Your input as to which topics your town would prefer would be helpful in preparing the meetings.
