MEMORANDUM FOR Fourth Brigade JROTC

SUBJECT:  Fourth Brigade JROTC Request for Support, Standing Operating Procedure (SOP)

1.  PURPOSE:  To provide guidance for the conduct of extra Details of JROTC Teams.

2.  REFERENCES:

• 1. CC Regulation 385-10, Cadet Command Safety Program

  3. FM 3-97.61, Military Mountaineering

  4. Cadet Command Regulation 145-2, (Drill, Raider and Color Guard)

  5. Cadet Reference Guide Version 4  

3.  COMMANDERS INTENT:

• 1. All JROTC units have the opportunity to participate in school activities.

  2. All JROTC units are encouraged, within resources, to provide Drill, Raider and Color Guard opportunities.  In order to track and monitor the extra requests of services, a tracking sheet is required and must have for inspection purpose. They may then be selected by the SAI or AI of that unit in 4th Bde.  

OBJECTIVES:

• 1. To promote esprit de corps, teamwork, and self-confidence among JROTC cadets.

  2. To provide JROTC cadets a competitive program in five mentally and physically challenging training events.  

  3. To serve as a JROTC cadet recruiting and retention vehicle.

  4. To track JROTC Unit’s efforts.

5.  RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. 4th Bde:

     1. Serve as proponent for the JROTC JPA program.
