About Mrs. Garguilo 

Mrs. Garguilo (Mejia) has been a 6th grade English teacher at William Paca Middle School in Mastic Beach, NY since 2015. She currently holds her NYS Certifications in Childhood Education (1-6), Special Education (1-6), and Literacy Education (Birth- 12). Mrs. Garguilo completed her student teaching within the William Floyd School District. She was also a substitute teacher for the district two years prior to becoming an English teacher. Mrs. Garguilo graduated from Dowling College with her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. While at Dowling, she was part of the Honors Program. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her undergraduate degree and Summa Cum Laude with her graduate degree. She enjoys making crafts, reading, learning, coloring, and teaching. Mrs. Garguilo has three cats named Mittens, Stellaluna, and Elby. All of her pets were adopted from local animal shelters. She even fostered four kittens a few summers ago for a local animal shelter.
