WPS Summer Enrichment Frequently Asked Questions

I filled out the registration form, but couldn't pay at that moment. How do I pay now?

Is there a discount for the July 4th week due to it being only 4 days instead of 5?

The cost of a two-week session is $360. The 4th of July always falls during the Summer Enrichment Program so the discount is built into the overall program price. Since the payment program we use makes it difficult to price the two sessions differently, and we don't offer refunds for those who need to change weeks, it's easier to give the discounted rate for both sessions.

What is my child expected to bring?

A bottle of water, a snack, and comfortable appropriate clothes. If your child is in an outside activity, a hat would be a good idea.

Why are some classes offered during one session, but not the other?

Sometimes the teacher offering the class is unavailable for the other session.

Is it okay if my child only participates in a single week?

Yes, but in many courses, students build on skills that were learned in the first few days. If the child is only attending for one week, we suggest he/she attends for the first week of the session. For a few of the grade 2- 5 or YA Advance courses, two-week sessions are required. See the "notes" below course descriptions.

What should I do if my child will be going home with someone else?

When you drop off your child in the morning, please complete our pick-up slip so we can let the teacher know.

How will I know my child's schedule?

You will receive an email in late May/early June that indicates which courses your child is scheduled for.

Why are some classes at risk of not being offered even if they're in the Program listing?

Classes may be cancelled if there is not sufficient enrollment to cover operating expenses. In order to keep this from happening please encourage others to register for the Summer Enrichment Program!

Can I be refunded?

Not for the K-1 program. Refunds for the Grade 2- 5 and YA Advance programs are ONLY available when more than one class requested has been cancelled.

What if my child loses something during the program?

Visit the Lost & Found in the cafeteria or look in your child's classes. All items will be donated at the end of the last day of camp.
