Library Lessons

Kindergartners learn how to use the school library. 

We discuss how to take care of our library books when they go home and discover many great books on the shelves. 

Kindergarten students check out one book per week.

Students may pick from Easy Readers, Picture Books, Easy Non-Fiction or Easy Chapter Books. These sections are introduced one at a time at the beginning of the year.

Students learn where these sections are by the colored dots on the books spine.

We are always learning about new things using fiction and non-fiction.
