The first week, we explored various pieces of Pumice under our microscope. We wrote down things that we noticed about the rocks and things that we wondered. Many students were amazed that the rocks they were looking at came out of a volcano!!!

The next week we were lucky that a student in grade 5 let us use a piece of coral to look at! This time we used a microscope that attached to an iPad. It was amazing!

On 2/28/2019 we had a perfect fluffy snowfall. 5B decided to try out our new portable microscopes outside!
