Desktop Publishing
Course Description:
Students develop proficiency in using graphic arts/desktop publishing software
to create a variety of business publications such as flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc.
Do you like taking photos, interviewing people, designing, or writing stories? Take Yearbook class and be a part of creating your high school yearbook
Year-long course open to 11-12 grades, 1 credit
Pick up an application from Mrs. Barnett. Application deadline is listed on the application.
Prerequisites: None at this time
Selection will be based on GPA, ELA grade, attendance, enrollment in Graphic Arts class, and submission of Yearbook Staff Application by deadline. Staff members will be approved by the instructor on an individual basis.
Gain soft skills and industry standard skills.
Receive training in writing, photography, design, marketing and financial management.
Learn Adobe Photoshop along with Walsworth Online Design.
Create the high school yearbook.
After-school work will be required for taking photos and completing yearbook pages.
Compete in FBLA contests related to Yearbook!
Compete in MIJA (Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association) with your photos and spreads!
