Originally I hail from Iowa; that's not the state with potatoes. In 2006 I earned my BA in Humanities from the University of Northern Iowa and fled from the cold winters to beautiful Arizona. For those of you who may be nervous that your student is learning science from a humanities major, I was a student of Biology/Kinesiology during my first years of college. After two years in Phoenix, I had earned my Baccalaureate Degree from Ottawa University and began teaching at Desert Foothills.
I have been teaching at Desert Foothills Junior High since 2008. During my time here, I have taught 8th grade science, 7th grade social studies, the Leadership class, coached and coordinated the after school program.
I love the atmosphere here at DF. The students are great, the parents are supportive, the staff are knowledgeable and easy to work with. Everyday I come to work, it's fun. You have to love that DF Pride!
